Skills you take away
after 7 days

Colour Science

Understand how cameras capture light, what LOG footage is and why you need to grade it.

Colour Correction

Fix exposure, white balance, contrast and skin tones before you ever start grading.

Node-Based Workflow

Master DaVinci Resolve’s node system — the same workflow used by professional colourists worldwide.

Cinematic Looks

Build moody, golden hour and clean commercial looks from scratch — not just applying presets.

LUT Creation & Use

Apply, customise and create your own LUTs — then export them to use across any project.

Export & Delivery

Know exactly how to export for YouTube, Instagram, client delivery and broadcast — every time.

7 Days.
7 Transformations.

01

Colour Science & How Cameras See Light

Why footage looks flat out of camera, what LOG means, colour spaces explained simply and setting up your DaVinci Resolve project correctly.

Day 1
02

Colour Correction — The Foundation

Fixing exposure, white balance, contrast and skin tones. Using scopes — waveform, parade and vectorscope — to make decisions with your eyes and your instruments.

Day 2
03

Node-Based Grading in DaVinci Resolve

Understanding the node tree, serial nodes, parallel nodes and layer nodes. Building a clean, organised grade that is easy to adjust and hand off.

Day 3
04

Creating Cinematic Looks

Building a moody film look, a warm golden hour grade and a clean commercial style — each from scratch, understanding every decision you are making.

Day 4
05

Working With LUTs

Applying technical and creative LUTs, customising them to your footage, and creating and exporting your own .cube LUT files to use on future projects.

Day 5
06

Grading for Different Formats

How your approach changes between a music video, a brand film and a documentary. Matching shots, maintaining consistency across a timeline and grading for emotion.

Day 6
07

Export, Delivery & Live Zoom Review

Correct export settings for every platform, final delivery checklist and a live Zoom session with Brian where he reviews your work and answers every question you have.

Brian

Director & Lead Instructor, Zoe Films KE

Brian is the founder of Zoe Films KE and has spent years grading real productions — music videos, brand campaigns, documentaries and street films right here in Nairobi. He built this course because he could not find one that taught colour grading the way it is actually done on set and in post.

This is not a course built around slides and theory. It is built around footage, decisions and doing the work.

“Color grading is not a finishing touch. It is a storytelling decision. This course will change how you see every frame you shoot.”

— Brian, Zoe Films KE
